KSU Conference

JEA President Mark Newton

The Manhattan conference on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, will be at the K-State Union.

Registration information and materials will be mailed to Kansas advisers in late August.

Parking details will be sent to you with your conference confirmation packet. If you want to reserve a parking spot, indicate that on the registration form and include the cost as part of your overall payment.

Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. in front of the Forum Theater on the ground floor of the KSU Student Union. You should reserve time to plan the sessions you will attend. Pastries and juice will be available for all registrants.

The welcoming session and keynote address will begin at 9 a.m. and all sessions will be completed by 1:40 p.m. Students and advisers should plan to pay for their lunches. The K-State Union food court has many lunch options.

The tentative schedule:

  • 8 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.: Registration on the ground floor of Kansas State Union;
  • 9 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.: Welcome and Opening Comments
  • 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Keynote Address and Q&A with Mark Newton
  • 10:10 a.m. to 10:55 a.m.: Learning sessions, critiques and Adviser hospitality
  • 11:05 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.: Learning sessions and critiques
  • Noon to 12:45 p.m.: Learning sessions and critiques
  • 12:55 p.m. to 1:40 p.m.: Learning sessions and critiques

The conference ends at 1:40 p.m.
