The Kansas Scholastic Press Association has received a new interim executive director!
Kara Lynch was appointed to the position on September 2, 2013. She will serve as the interim executive director for the 2013-14 academic year while a national search is underway for a permanent executive director.
Lynch has taught at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications off and on for ten years. She also taught journalism and served as the yearbook advisor at Hutchinson High School from 1989-1992.
“I’m passionate about the work of the KSPA,” Lynch said. “I will do everything possible this school year to keep the important work of the KSPA moving forward, and do it with enthusiasm, integrity and with an eye to excellence.”
Lynch will be working with the board of directors to maintain the superb reputation of the organization through this upcoming transitional period.
