KSPA Membership
Sign up for — or extend! — your membership to KSPA, the association that supports student journalists and their teachers in the Sunflower State. Each adviser can purchase a membership, and a membership is required for all contests (monthly, Regional and State) and all critiques (All-Kansas news publication, video, online and yearbook). A membership also qualifies your school for special pricing on fall conferences and other events. Use our general order form to sign up.
All-Kansas Critiques
Your staff works tirelessly to make the best publication you can. So, you deserve expert feedback too. The All-Kansas critique provides your staff with both congratulations for work well done and advice for how to improve. We recruit the professionals who will give honest feedback and who understand the latest in yearbook, newspaper, websites and video journalism. Use our general order form to sign up.
Regional Contests
The KSPA Regional Contests allow students to practice their skills, get feedback and earn awards. We offer categories for photographers, designers, writers, cartoonists, online journalists and videographers. Plus, students who place at Regionals can advance to the State Contest to earn points for their school and the Sweepstakes trophies. Click on our official Regional Contest page to get all the details. Register at this link.
Winter Workshops (Teachers Only)
KSPA is offering a special training session for educators to prepare for upcoming changes to the Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway impacting journalism and media classes in Kansas. This event replaces the traditional winter workshops and will equip teachers with essential resources and strategies. Click on our official February PD page for all the details.
