KSPA members selected four representatives for the KSPA Board of Directors during voting that concluded last week.

Elected to the board were Samantha Netterman, at-large representative; Jessica Augustine, area one representative; Shana Schmidt, area two representative; Hailey Phillips, area four representative; and Laurie Folsom, area five representative. In addition, Julie Barker has been appointed to serve as area three representative by board president Kathy Habiger; there were no area 3 candidates on the ballot.

Board members serve two-year terms and meet at least three times each year to provide guidance and oversight to the non-profit organization and further KSPA’s mission to support scholastic journalism in Kansas.
